The Land of Immorality is a contemporary theatrical production based on the Ancient Dilmun period of the Gulf. The Land of Immortality is the love story of Noora and Khaled who journey through the Gulf to be together. Their adventures lead them to hearing of the secrets of the ‘immortality’ beneath the waves. Facing life or death and through a heroic act of love they become the ones to truly discover secrets of the Land of Immortality.
We worked with the composer Julene Siddique and Riceva Arts on the music but also on the choreography in which they successfully fused contemporary ballet with acrobatics creating a unique and powerful contemporary production of the Gulf’s Ancient Dilmun Heritage in partnership with the Bahrain National Museum and the Ministry of Culture to capture the Summerian/Ancient Dilmun history and poetry whilst successfully fusing it with contemporary genres such as Opera and Tango.
