Ivan Kabamitov

Ivan Kabamitov was born in 1973 in Assenovgrad. He graduated from the National Music Academy “Pancho Vladigerov”, Sofia in 1997. In 1996, as a prominent talent, he won one-year scholarship from Craft Jacobs Suschard. In 1998-99 he won a scholarship for specializing in the Bulgarian Art and Culture Academy in Rome. He became a laureate in the International Contest for Young Opera Singers “Boris Christoff”, Sofia in 2000 and 2002 – “Puldin”, Plovdiv.

Ivan Kabamitov won a scholarship and a diploma “Di Merito” in the class of the eminent opera singer Renato Bruzon at Chigiana Academy – Siena, Italy in 2005. In the same year he received diplomas for contribution to the Bulgarian-Russian cultural relations.

Ivan Kabamitov performed in more than 50 concerts in the period of 1999 to 2006 in Bulgaria, Germany, Austria, Italy, Norway, France, England, the USA. A certain number of these concerts were independent. He has many records in the Bulgarian National Radio with chamber and opera repertoire. He often participates in the festivals “New Bulgarian Music”, “Sofia Summer”, “Sofia Musical Weeks”, and “Apolonia”.

The repertoire of the singer includes various authors in different languages and styles.
