
Nikola Hadjitanev
Nikola Hadjitanev has been a dancer at the Sofia National Opera and Ballet Theater since 2006. As a soloist he participated in “Giselle”, “Swan Lake”, “Don Quixote”, “The Nutcracker”, “Coppélia”, “Zorba the Greek”, and other productions of the prestigious institution.
He took part in international festivals in Russia, Italy, Greece and Germany. He was a finalist of the International Ballet Competition in Varna, 2006.
Nikola Hadjitanev is the winner of numerous awards, including the special prize of Baroque Sicily, Modica, Italy in 2006 and the first prize for best dance partner in the International Festival of Arts in Fivizano, Italy, 2002.
In 2006 he was awarded an honorary medal of the Academy “Future of Bulgaria” for his artistic achievements in the field of ballet, and was also awarded an honorary diploma by the Ministry of Culture of Bulgaria on the Day of the Slavic Culture and Literature, May 24, 2005.
Nikola Hadjitanev gave guest performances as a soloist in Italy, Austria, Denmark, Greece and Spain, where he participated with great success in “The Nutcracker”, “Don Quixote”, “Swan Lake”, “Zorba the Greek”, “Giselle” etc.
In March and April 2009, following the invitation of Serdica Music, Nikola Hadjitanev visited, along with the Ballet of Russe, the capital of Spain and gave guest performances on the stage of Teatro de Madrid, where he performed the parts of Siegfried (“Swan Lake”) and Albert (“Giselle”).
